The Tempe Community Action Agency's Community Garden provides a beautiful, peaceful setting where volunteers play a key role in supporting local food access. Our garden helps grow fresh, nutritious produce that directly benefits the Food Pantry. We are seeking volunteers to assist with garden maintenance and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with general garden upkeep, including planting, weeding, and watering.Help maintain garden beds and other areas to ensure healthy, sustainable crops.Participate in special projects as needed (e.g., building new garden beds, composting, etc.).Work as a team to ensure the garden thrives and produces quality food for the pantry.

Requirements:

Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing. Bring water to stay hydrated during shifts. A love for nature and community is encouraged!

Join our team at TCAA's Food Pantry and help make a real difference in our community! As a volunteer, you'll be assisting with a variety of tasks that help keep the pantry running smoothly and efficiently.

**Must have full mobility without assistance, and be able to lift up to 40 pounds**

Key Responsibilities:

Grocery Rescue: Organize, label, and store food received from neighboring grocery stores.Food Box Packing: Help pack food boxes for distribution during our open pantry hours.

If it is Your First Time Volunteering With Us:

Please dress comfortably, wear closed toe shoes, and bring water. If possible, we ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first shift so that we can give you a brief tour.

As a Food Distribution Volunteer, you'll help distribute food boxes to those who rely on our pantry services. Your time and effort will directly contribute to providing essential support to our community.

Distribute pre-packed food boxes to pantry clients.Ensure that all food is handed out in an organized and friendly manner.Assist clients with any additional needs as required.
